The coronavirus pandemic outbreak, particularly in Ukraine, is making it difficult for Joint Forces units to carry out their tasks. But border guards continue systematic work to identify those who commit war crimes in the armed conflict zone in Donbass.

So, yesterday upon obtaining operative information, officers of Kramatorsk Detachment revealed and detained the citizen of Ukraine born in 1982, living in Kramatorsk.

Law enforcement officers found out that during occupation of the city by militants in June 2014, the abovementioned citizen joined the ranks of illegal armed formation of the so-called DPR. There, the man served at one of the checkpoints and performed tasks of illegal inspection of documents and vehicles of the citizens.

On this fact the report on detection of signs of crime was sent to Kramatorsk department of National police. Responsibility for this crime is defined by p. 2 Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Creation of unlawful paramilitary or armed formations". The sanction of this article is imprisonment for a term from 3 to 8 years with confiscation of property.
